We are back with new arrivals Tuesday! Once a week our staff gets together to taste samples left by our suppliers. Some weeks we strike liquid gold while other weeks it's a painful night for our palates. These past few weeks we have struck gold when it comes to French wines! We thrive on finding products that offer tremendous value for the price and these new French acquisitions do just that!
2018 Domaine Mardon Quincy Tres Vieilles Vignes
Reg: $22 | Club: $18.99
With Sancerre prices continuing to rise, we've been on the hunt for a great, cheaper alternative. We hit the jackpot with Domaine Mardon Quincy. Only 50 miles from Sancerre, the village of Quincy produces 100% Sauvignon Blanc wines in a very similar fashion to Sancerre. Making wine in the region since the 19th century, the Mardon family indisputably produce the best Quincy wines available. Their 2018 release leads with a stony, Sancerre-like nose into a serious palate of citrus and kiwi. Mineral-driven, this crisp white rivals premier Sancerre all while remaining under $20!
2018 Kermit Lynch Cotes du Rhone
Reg: $14 | Club: $11.49
Kermit Lynch praises their Cotes du Rhone as their "best value in red." Versatile, approachable, and affordable, they aren't wrong! Grenache-based, their 2018 Cotes du Rhone offers rich aromas of dark fruit, violets, and earth with flavors of black cherry, wild herbs, and stone. Very well made, our hats off to Kermit Lynch for producing this delicious wine all around.
