June: Peconic Bay Vineyards

Peconic Bay Vineyards is back! Or rather should we say Peconic Bay Vineyards has arrived? This month our resident local wine enthusiast, Nate Mendelson, had the chance to chat with winemaker Greg Gove to discuss the rebirth of Peconic Bay Vineyards and what one can expect from this fast growing winery in the upcoming years.
April: Palmer Vineyards
Founded in 1983 by Robert Palmer, Palmer Vineyards is one of the oldest and most well known Long Island winemaking producers. In 2018, Palmer sold to the Massoud family, the owners of Paumanok, who have continued Bob's legacy of producing top quality North Fork wine. This month our very own Nate Mendelson had the chance to sit down with winemaker Kareem Massoud to discuss Long Island winemaking as a whole as well as the defining features of Palmer Vineyards.
March: One Woman Winery!
A one woman show, Claudia Purita works day in and day out to produce delicious, certified sustainable, and quality-driven wines at her Southold based winery. As both owner and winemaker, Purita impressively brings her old world roots of growing up on her family's farm in Italy to this new world region. This month, our very own Nate Mendelson visited One Woman Winery and had the pleasure of speaking to both Claudia and her daughter Gabriella. Check it out here to see how one woman's passion and dedication impacted the North Fork wine scene.
