The Pax Helios Chenin is sourced from 50% Lyman Ranch (Amador County), 33% Marine Terraces (Santa Cruz Mountains) and 17% Alder Springs Vineyard (Laytonville). After pressing it is aged 8 months in a combination of Austrian & French Oak 500L Puncheons and Stainless Steel Barrels. This has been a revelation in terms of price to quality in recent years, and is a must try for anyone who loves Chenin but might be skeptical of anything coming from outside of the Loire Valley. It has the racy acidity and mineral depth you'll find from Anjou Chenin, with the texture and elegance of wines from Vouvray, all at a price point that makes it great for everyday drinking (and sharing!).
