Bedell Cellars
August's Local Winery of the Month!
One of the most recognizable names on the North Fork, Bedell was founded in 1980 when Kip and Susan Bedell planted their first grapevines in Cutchogue. Over the next 20 years, Bedell garnered a solid reputation both locally and nationally with Wine Spectator dubbing Kip as “Mr Merlot”. Since 2000, Bedell Cellars has been owned by the Lynne family who continue to produce work class wines to this day. Bedell has been committed to sustainable farming from its inception and is certified sustainable by Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing. All the wines are hand crafted right at the estate by winemaker Richard Olsen-Harbich and his team and fermented with 100% naturally occurring indigenous yeasts. From a vibrant and aromatic white blend to a quintessential North Fork Merlot, there’s a Bedell wine to please every palate. Be sure to get to know Bedell’s full lineup of wine this month!
