Rich and full-bodied, with black cherry, dried plum, raspberry and blueberry layered with cinnamon, sweet spice, vanilla and dried flowers. The palate is plush and concentrated, with ripe fruit, firm tannins and a long, gently bittersweet finish.
Made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella with a small percentage of other local varieties. The grapes are dried for approximately 120 days using the traditional appassimento method before fermentation, followed by approximately 18–20 months of oak aging.
