Paumanok Vineyards
November's Local Winery Of The Month!
Located in Aquebogue, Paumanok is one of the first vineyards you’ll see as you reach the North Fork. Founded in 1983 by Charles and Ursula Massoud, the 127-acre estate currently grows over 10 varietals including the usual suspects like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc, as well as more unique finds for Long Island including Chenin Blanc, Albariño, and Melon de Bourgogne. After decades of hard work, Ursula and Charles have recently stepped back from the winery’s daily operations and their three sons have taken over the bulk of the work, Kareem (winemaker), Salim (admin and logistics), and Nabeel (vineyard manager). Together these three men have taken the family-run winery to the next level and won Winery of the Year at the 2023 New York Wine Classic! Paumanok’s philosophy is that only the healthiest, ripest grapes will produce great wines which is why they only use estate-grown fruit in their wines. From a perfect everyday red blend to Long Island's only Chenin Blanc offering, get to know the delicious and certified sustainable lineup today!
